2I have naturally strawberry blonde hair (it’s not dark enough to be called ginger), and putting lemon juice in my hair (from a lemon, not like a Cif Lemon, which just makes it sticky) and then sitting in the sun, or blow drying, combing it, and then leaving it in for a few hours – day made it go about 2 shades lighter. Honey doesn’t do anything, except make you sticky. Chamomile makes you hair very shiny, and can hold the color in for longer, but it has been known to make people’s hair darker.
Sun-In, is a peroxide spray, which is basically bleach. If you buy the ‘Lemon’ one, wash you hair thoroughly, and then spray it in lightly all over, especially underneath, and then blow dry your hair (it works by heat, not UV), you can control how light you get it. If you don’t want it so light, don’t get it as hot. Once you’ve reached the desired color, wash it out with cool water, and then condition your hair. If your hair gets completely dry and you still haven’t got the color you want, wash it out, and then wait a day, and do it again. Don’t use the ‘Super’, that will make your hair orange.

3Yes! It depends on a factor of many things.
(with any of these suggestions you want to do a strand test)
First, the color of your original hair?
If its any variation of blond and you want to go lighter you can use Lemon juice and olive oil and sit under the sun OR you can buy Sun-In and lay in the sun or blow dry your hair. If you’re trying to go darker than chamomile tea will darken it with unpredictable results, so I would not recommend it!
If you’re a Brunette, the lemon juice/olive oil combo works with slightly unpredictable results. I’m an African-American brunette myself and I use the combo and I get pretty nice blond highlights, but its been known to turn hair orange on some people, hence the strand test. I even use sun in and get a nice light brown color.
If your a fire head…results are not typical.
Chamomile darkens so I dont think thats what youre looking for

4try lemon juice
but please please do not ever use sun-in spray.
i tried using that on light brown hair with natural blonde highlights, and all it did was turn my hair orange! :S
i was hoping it would make all my hair the color of my blonde highlights, but it didnt. i have now lost those highlights, ad my hair was an orangy color.
very bright and brassy.
i had 2 dye over it with brown hair, and i cant get the blonde highlights in it, because they will just turn orangey, and everytime the dye fades, that brassy orange colour shows through again.
dont get conned by that stuff that seems way better than it really is like i did.
try lemon juice, that should be fine
just stay away from peroxide. thats wats in sun-in!!

5Lemon can enhance your natural blonde highlights if you spray it in your hair and get out in the sun. The same can be done with cranberry juice if you want to play up red highlights. Just be careful to mix the juice with water, because it can still be damaging to the hair if used incorrectly.
