- Who says Asperger's sufferers are unemployable?
They're just people who think a little differently from most folks, but to even imply that they are "unemployable" shows a shocking lack of knowledge about the syndrome and it's impact on one's ability to do work. ... People don't always accept what they don't understand. If they think that you are "different" in some way,

People acknowledging reality will admit that there isn't nearly enough time in the day to keep in close touch with immediate family, let alone friends.

The horror stories about our educational collapse are true. Many students graduate from ... And it is people like that who are most prone to the short-lived escape which drugs offer. 1Unfortunately, there are those that are either profoundly mentally or physically disabled. Years ago in my hometown, they were institutionalized, which created hundreds of jobs, but also taxed the state dearly.
There are many homeless, unemployed here in my town. We even have a tent city, called creatin city. These people collect food stamps, social security etc and pretty much stay to themselves. I do not feel sorry for them as many of their problems were self induced, ie drinking and drugs.
We can not just let people run around, homeless, naked in hungry, no matter how much it taxes the system so it is societies responsibility to do something.
However, the welfare to work system is great for those that are cabaple of working. We rented to a woman who had 3 kids. Everytime they were going to cut her welfare, she would get pregnant again. One time she went so far as to jump out of a moving car , broke her leg so she could cont to rec welfare.
Now, as the kids are older, she was cut off completely. Ha ha, get a frickin job you mooch.! lol
I do what I have to do to survive and if it ment flipping burgers then so be it. That is what our society was based on hard work and the ability to succeed. To bad that has been lost over the decades. The government had made it to easy for people to take advantage, so lets start there with the blame.

2Perhaps we should offer job training.
Or education for a better job.
Many of those “unemployble” people are also homeless. This could be part of the problem. We give no cash money to adults ( at least in my state) but will only give them food stamps. That does not help them with clothing or anything else they need to work.
I think that soon the politicians will be talking again about reducing welfare– cause when times get tough we take it out on the most vulnerable of our residents. We used to have poor farms where people who were unemployable could go and work for thier meals maybe we need something similar now.

3Let me explain my situation to you – I’m 20 years old, I have not had a full time job because I have medical problems, I have a lung disease and by law here in australia I’m not required to work at all but I actually want to, I look for work every single day, but alot of people aren’t willing to employ someone like myself for alot of reasons mainly those being because even though I only have one day every 3 months for a doctors appointment alot of people aren’t willing to employ someone like that, I would happily make up the hours but employers now a day aren’t exactly understanding, I think that people that have been bludging and not working for years should be taught courses on whatever they want to help them get jobs.

4If they have no socially redeeming value then place them in prison chain gangs and get some use out of them anyway! At minimum they can be test guinea pigs for various medications or treatments and at the end of their lives they can be organ donors!
